Supervision
Provisional licence holders are required to work under direct supervision of a full licence holder
This supervision is to develop the provisional licence holder's skills and make sure that migrant clients receive the same standard of advice that they would receive from a full licence holder.
We have noticed an increase in complaints where a supervised provisional licence holder appears to have provided immigration advice without direct supervision. The provisional licence holder has, as a result, failed to discuss their client cases with their supervisor. In certain cases, it seems that the supervisor was unaware that the provisional licence holder was working on immigration matters for those clients.
